눈이 큰 당신이 있었다 눈이 큰 당신과 함께 잠에 드는 날이면 나는 늘 따뜻한 물속을 헤엄치는 꿈을 꾸다 깬다 자느라 감긴 눈을 뜨면 심해처럼 아득한 눈동자에서 물이 왈칵 쏟아져 베개를 온통 적실 것만 같던 당신이 있었다 속초에 가는 고속도로에 3시간 동안 갇혀 있으며 비행기로 3시간이면 도쿄까지 갈 수 있다고 투덜대던 당신, 그러다 언젠가 로켓으로 4시간 만에 우주를 갈 수 있는 날이 되면 은하수에 가보고 싶다던 당신, 여전히 속초로 가는 고속도로는 막히고 도쿄 직항 노선은 사라졌고 은하수까지 가는 로켓은 나오지 않았고 눈이 큰 당신은 더 이상 만날 수 없다 이 지리멸렬한 세상에, 나만이 남아, 납골당 정문에 꽂혀 있던 것과 똑같은 모양의 십자가를 만들어, 당신의 눈동자처럼 아득한 은하수에 담갔다 꺼내기를 반복할 뿐이다.
